Hello and welcome! I am Mrs Matos, the owner of A Place to Grow, Daycare in the Bronx, NY.

 

I created A Place to Grow because I truly believe that early childhood education and childcare should feel like a collaborative, family-centered journey.

 

After years of working with families through the New York City Department of Education, I made the heartfelt decision to step away from the public school system and start something more personal: a nurturing, community-driven daycare center in the Bronx where families and educators work in true partnership.

At A Place to Grow, I focus on creating a space where children are celebrated for who they are—and encouraged to become all they can be. Our approach is rooted in Montessori philosophy, blending structured guidance with child-led learning to support independence, creativity, and confidence.

 

As a licensed New York State foster parent, I’ve witnessed firsthand the importance of supporting the whole child—academically, emotionally, and socially. That perspective deeply shapes our mission and the way we care for every child in our program.

 

My goal is for every family to feel a deep sense of belonging within our community. When your child leaves A Place to Grow, they will do so with a strong foundation of love, confidence, and curiosity—ready to succeed in school and in life.
